Camden's first 4 word sentence

This morning Camden went to the window and said, "You see dat bumbee?" And I did see that bunny. And I was glad, because I thought I had run him off. I had some celery that had seen better days, so I put it out yesterday. Either celery isn't rabbit food or our little bunny is a suspicious fellow. We didn't see him at all yesterday after I put the celery out, but thankfully he returned overnight to give us another day of bunny watching.

But anyway, that's the first 4 word sentence I can recall him saying, so it has been an exciting morning already!

Silly kids

How sweet is this?

"What about me?"

2 of my 3 sweeties napping together

Did you know that a large-handle puzzle piece can double as a pacifier?

"I duck"! Part Deux

Camden decided at lunch today that he's capable of forking his own food. He was very proud of himself, requiring clapping and cheers each time he did it.

Camden chose the pink ride in the mall today. It's the one he ran to first, and we didn't argue with him. It kind of freaked him out when it first started moving. As usual, Landry was stuck in the stroller while Camden had all the fun.

Happy birthday, Claire!

Claire turned 3 years old today! Her birthday party was at one of the local parks, which all the kids really enjoyed. It happens to be in the flight-path of the airport, so Camden told us every time a "hairpane" flew over.
Happy birthday, sweet big girl! We love you!!

Our resident "bumbee"

About 3 months ago Camden starting spending some time looking out one of the windows into the front yard, all the while saying "kitty cat". I'd look out, scan the flower bed and yard and tell him I didn't see a kitty cat. After a couple of weeks of this I finally saw what he was looking at. It was this little bunny (or one of his relatives?) hiding under a bush in the flower bed. This may look like a regular bunny, but this little guy is an AWESOME bunny. I don't necessarily think he has an incredible bunny powers or anything like that, but he's seriously lazy, which works great when I need to get Camden out of his room, off of a chair, etc. I say "let's go see if the bunny's still there" and he takes off. Nine times out of ten the lazy little thing is sprawled out in his shallow little bunny hole. He's really great for getting Camden to stop whatever he might be doing, because God knows "come here" doesn't work very often!

Watching Daddy work

Blake came home early today. Yay! He decided to clean the back porch, which was needed VERY BADLY. The kids were really good sports about him being outside without them, but stayed glued to the window to make sure they didn't miss anything he was doing. They especially like it when he would stop and spray the water hose at the windows. It was pretty darned cute!

Happy 8 months, Little Bit!

Landry turned 8 months old yesterday morning. She woke up with a seriously crusty nose, as can easily be seen in the first picture. Gross, right!?! After I decrusted her nose she and Camden did a little coloring. He colored in his coloring book (and on the floor and on the door), and she colored on her face. The three of us made a trip to MidCity Pediatrics yesterday afternoon to nip the yucky nose situation in the bud. That was not a fun trip.

Happy 8 month day, Bitsy! We love you!!

p.s. I tried to post this last night, on her actual 8 month day, but our wireless router was acting crazy. I really did remember on the right day!

Saturday morning PJ pictures

I must confess that the kids and I stay in our PJs a lot, but on Saturdays Daddy actually gets to enjoy it with us. I'll spare you the pictures of us in our PJs, but the kids sure are cute!

Family time

We had a visit with Granny and Papa on Wednesday. Here are some pictures from our day.

Landry took a little cat nap on Papa.

Camden and Brody had a cleaning duel.

I think Jeremy was seeing what having two might be like!

Of course two kids can't look at the camera at the same time.

Getting some lovin' from Aunt Haley.

Aidan was in his glory on top of Papa's old tractor.

The little boys were very jealous that Aidan was able to get on the tractor himself.

Just a swingin'.

Landry was still longing for the outdoors when we got home.

Camden was very curious about what she was doing in HIS window.

I've been waiting for this!

Neither one of my kids have ever been the type to fall asleep in any of their contraptions, unless that contraption is a swing or a crib. Landry finally changed all of that the weekend we spent at Caddo back in August. I've said a hundred times that I couldn't wait for one of them to fall asleep in the Jumperoo so I could get some cute pictures. While the rest of the gang took off in the boat I stayed behind with Landry. She was doing a little jumping, and I noticed that she kept getting slower and slower with each bounce. Finally she laid her little head down and passed smooth out. I had sent our camera with Peyton so she could take pictures of Camden on the boat, so I snatched Aunt TK's camera off the table and took these. I just got them from TK tonight.

So precious!

Our own little hurricane party

Three's company - especially in a bed rated for WAY fewer pounds than it's holding.

Rubber ducky . . .

. . . you're the one . . .

. . . you make teething so much fun!

Miller and Abigail wanted the rubber ducky as much as Landry did.

Camden thinks he should be able to fit into anything with a lid.

Sometimes strapping Camden in and letting him get messy is the best break for us.

We kept hearing "I duck, I duck" coming from the kitchen.

We found him stuck under one of the bar stools.
