A bite

Camden has figured out lately that everything Landry picks up goes directly into her mouth. He likes to grab things and try to get her to eat them. In these pictures he's telling her "a bite". He thinks it was his idea, but little does he know she was going to try to eat it anyway.

His new spot

Camden often sits in the kitchen window in the mornings and watches the neighbors leave for work. Maybe he got sick of waiting today since it's Saturday and nobody left, but somehow he decided it would be more fun to stand up and mess with the blinds. I guess it's time to raise them a little higher!

SciPort

We decided to visit SciPort today to have something fun to do in the air-conditioning. We had a grand time checking out things much too advanced for anyone under the age of 8. Danielle, Libby and I had more fun than all 3 kids combined. We ran into the third person in town who has kids less than a year apart. Ava is 3 days older than Camden and Billy is 2 days younger than Landry. If only we had the Schoonover kids in tow! We would have been a full-blown circus act.

Camden thought Libby needed some help pushing Joshua in his stroller.

Libby on the bed of nails.

Joshua really enjoyed the water.

Camden had a good time playing in it, too.

Joshua was pretty soaked.

Captain of the little boat!

Camden picked up a lady while we were there. (This is Ava.)

Landry's first crush! (Billy)

Steering the paddle boat.

Banging on the stone xylophone.

(I'm bringing back fat back, by the way!)

Photo op gone awry.

Camden and Joshua shared very well.

He finally got a piece of the pie!

Happy 5 Month day!

Landry got hugs (and the blowing kisses sound effect - "mmmmmUH") from Camden this morning. She's rolling to where she wants to go and even doing a little scooting around. She can get her arms up and her knees pulled up under her, but (fortunately for me) not at the same time. She's really good at pivoting 360 degrees on her belly, and reaches for everything in sight, grabbing what she can get to. We're happy to report that she is as good-natured and easy going as her big brother was at this age. What a relief!

Happy Birthday, Pop!

Today is Pop's birthday! We love you and hope you had a wonderful day!!! We'll see you tomorrow.

A weekend at Caddo

Uncle Bill and Aunt Beth built a new addition onto the camp at Caddo recently, so to celebrate its completion they invited the family out for the weekend. We had a wonderful time visiting on the water! Both of the kids were very well behaved and had a great being the center of attention. Thanks for the hospitality, Alexanders!

What is it?

Diaper rash cream? No. Sunscreen? No. This was the result of Camden eating yogurt covered pretzels at lunch on Wednesday. The kid LOVED them, but I'm thinking that's not going to be a treat we give him very often. He also really loved dipping his chips in salsa that day, but for some reason (luckily) that didn't end up smeared all over his face.

Not a great angle, but here we are.

Seriously cute kids

One passed out girl on her daddy's shoulder last night.

"Hey, that tickles!"

"Get that off of me . . .

. . . or I'll eat it!"

Three of the four kids.

Your bald spot was looking at me, Daddy!

So I slapped the h%ll out of it!
