So in LOVE . . .

. . . with my family! And also with our photographer, Kristin Mosura - kristinmosura.com.

An eventful week

Lunch with Auntie Pam.
A ride in the souped-up wagon with Chappy - pimp style.
Me and a almost all of my babies (the big one wouldn't cooperate).
Landry finding her mobile, and actually enjoying the swing for once.

We've had a pretty busy week for a bunch of people who usually stay home. Pam and Robbie (former Rosedale neighbors) came in from Dubai for a stateside visit. The kids and I picked her up from her hotel and had lunch at Counter Culture. Camden likes Humphreys! Pam and I then had a short shopping trip and a grown up day at Eldorado (which made twice in 1 week for me and Blake). During our time out we got a phone call from Nana that Camden was having some major issues with his hiney. The whole milk thing went great for over a week, but apparently it caught up with him and gave him a pretty good case of diarrhea. That, in turn, gave him a severe case of diaper rash, which made diaper changing time tearful for everyone involved. We got home last night and Nana and Chappy had both cried during at least one change. Camden was dreading the changes so badly that he started bawling when we even got him near his changing table. We decided that he shouldn't have anymore milk, so we put him back on his soy formula. We had a few tears this morning during changes, but as the day went on it got progressively better. Poop-free since 1 p.m.! Dr. Scott's nurse said to get him some soy milk, so we tried that tonight. He didn't seem to be a huge fan, but that's generally the case with anything new at first. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. We're going to try to go to Gymboree tomorrow. We'll see if everyone gets properly napped in time for that.

A solution, perhaps

I swaddled the bejesus out of Landry last night around 10:30. After about 5 minutes of discontent she fell fast asleep until 2, ate and slept again until 6. She ate again and is still snoozing. Maybe she just needs to feel more secure when she's trying to go to sleep. Hopefully this continues to work. We shall see. Thanks for all the good advice!

Couch potato

Landry started having issues on Sunday falling asleep by herself. She had been fine with the whole concept until then. We're not sure what went wrong. This evening Blake plopped her down on the couch after she fell asleep and she did pretty well - for about 30 minutes. She woke up screaming, which threw Camden into a tailspin. He started hitting Blake in the face because his sister was crying. I'm pretty sure he threw his first temper tantrum when he got on the floor after that. The mind of a 1 year old - go figure. As of the time of this post Landry is in her room screaming her head off because she's not happy with us or without us, so we chose without us. Hopefully after she eats in a bit she'll pass out for a few hours. We went through the same thing with Camden, but there wasn't a 1 year old in the room next door to keep awake. Any suggestions from all you mothers out there?

Cutie Patooties!

Or however you spell that. Aren't these some adorable kids? Blake put the bunny ears on Camden tonight before he ate dinner and he didn't even notice them until we put him in front of the mirror in his room about 30 minutes later.

Kickin' it old school - or trying, at least

Danielle turned 30something yesterday! Happy Birthday! Believe it or not, this is the 18th year Danielle and I have celebrated birthdays together. Crazy, yeah? We tried to act like we were 21 again, but we weren't very good at it. Where we used to discuss guys and talk smack about other girls, now we talk about our kids - incessantly! I'm sure we're very annoying that way, but oh well. We went to The Cub for dinner and drinks and then to Eldorado to donate some money. We had a great night!
