Yesterday

Yesterday Landry spoke her first understandable three word sentence. Christine said "Landry, I think it's time for your nap" and Landry promptly responded (while running like a wild woman through the kitchen) "I think no". We looked at each other with the "did she just say that?" look. When we realized the other heard the same thing we decided that she really did say it. Her little vocabulary has blossomed in the past three days. Today Blake said "excuse me" and she said "excuse me, daddy" right back to him. For some reason we feel like she isn't speaking as well as Camden did at her age, but I think we're just comparing her vocab to what we get out of Camden nowadays. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it's hard to remember there's an age gap between the two of them. She's making more and more sense every day!

second children rarely talk as well as first ones. Landry probably can't get a word in for Camden telling everyone what she needs or wants. Love, the new picture of the Rainey family. Beautiful People every one of you!!!!

Thanks, Rose! Landry has actually gone nuts with the three word sentences since I posted this. A lot of it still wouldn't be easily understood by anyone who doesn't live with her, but a lot of times she'll say something and Camden will translate for her. It's pretty cute!

I agree!! Sara didn't speak for the longest time because Alyse said everything for her!!! She is coming out of her shell and speaking for herself -- it only gets worse when they turn 13!!! :)
