Today was the first day of Mother's Day Out for the Rainey kids. Unfortunately, only one of them made it. Landry woke up last night with a fever and a deep cough, so she got to go to MidCity Pediatrics instead. We dropped Camden off and he ran right into his room and started playing with all the new toys. He didn't even pay us any attention. When I got there to pick him up his teachers were telling me how impressed they were because he did awesome on his first day. He laid down -- get this -- on his nap mat on the floor and took a nap! They said he cried for a few minutes and went right to sleep. He watched the bigger kids go in and out of the bathroom and decided he needed to try it. He went and sat on the potty three different times during the day! We were both thrilled and relieved that he did so well.
Landry's day wasn't so hot, but at least she got some Mexican food out of the deal. She has another ear infection and the croup. She had an ear infection before Christmas and the consensus was that she never completely got over it. Dr. Scott prescribed some antibiotics and steroids and hopefully she'll be feeling all better in a jiffy.

I think that's great that Camden did so well, but actually it doesn't surprise me. Hope Landry gets to feeling better soon so she can join in the fun.
